President Message
Jangwoo Lee Ph.d World Cultural Industry Forum, President
The World Cultural Industry Forum (WCIF) is an organization that started in 2019 based on the Korea Cultural Industry Forum, which was launched in 2002. It aims to contribute to human prosperity through the development of the cultural industry by bringing together producers, business officials, and experts from Asia and the West.
Now, with the development of IT and social networks, cultural consensus is expanding around the world. As the consensus grows, culture's influence not only on the economy but also on world peace and human happiness is expanding. In particular, the Republic of Korea developed the cultural industry in the 2000s by causing the so-called Korean Wave syndrome worldwide in dramas, movies, games, and music. The development of Korean Wave contents is significant in that Asia and the West are expanding their cultural consensus.
The earth is currently in serious crisis due to the threat of climate change and war. Against such crisis, we need to build a consensus and build a warm community through peace and love. Culture can play a key role in connecting the hearts of mankind.
Beyond simple economic development, the WCIF intends to address a wide range of topics including mutually beneficial international cooperation, global sustainability, and the development of future education. Through this, we intend to contribute to world peace and co-prosperity of the human race.
